Hi! I’m Andrew Delost, the founder of Curricumate—an AI teaching assistant designed to make teachers’ lives easier.
Before building Curricumate, I was (and still am) deeply connected to the classroom. I’ve seen firsthand how much time and energy teachers pour into their work—often at the expense of their own well-being.
Planning, assessing, reporting, differentiating, managing—all while trying to deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned instruction? It’s a lot.
So I started wondering:
What if we could take some of that load off teachers’ shoulders—without compromising quality?
What if AI could be used not to replace educators, but to support them in meaningful, practical ways?
That’s how Curricumate began.
There are a ton of AI tools out there now. Many are generic. Most are helpful, but none of them are designed specifically for Ontario teachers.
Curricumate is.
Every tool we build—from lesson planners and report card generators to curriculum-expectation breakdowns and quiz generators—is built around the Ontario curriculum.
We’ve structured everything to reflect the expectations, language, and structure that Ontario educators are expected to follow. Whether you’re working in Grade 1 or Grade 12, your content will match what the Ministry expects.
No bloated dashboards. No confusing learning curves.
Curricumate was designed so that any teacher could get started and see results in minutes.
Just pick the tool you need, enter a few quick details, and instantly generate lesson plans, report comments, rubrics, success criteria, literacy and math activities, and more. It’s simple by design—because teachers have enough complexity in their day already.
The point of Curricumate has never been to “automate teaching.”
It’s to help teachers do less of the draining stuff—so they can do more of what matters.
That’s why we’re always improving based on your feedback, needs, and ideas. The tools are designed around real Ontario classrooms, real expectations, and real teacher goals—not just flashy tech.
Today, Curricumate is helping over 3,000 educators across Ontario. We’ve added more than 45 tools, with even more on the way.
And the best part?
We’re hearing from teachers every week who say things like:
“This saved me hours.”
“This is truly a tool-box for teachers.”
“I’m always telling my colleagues about it.”
In March 2025, we’ve just expanded to include Curricumate for secondary teachers! We’ve worked hard to bring every Ontario secondary course to the platform so that high school teachers can plan faster, assess more efficiently, and feel more confident delivering curriculum-aligned content. Whether you’re teaching Grade 9 English, Grade 12 Biology, or anything in between, Curricumate now has tools tailored to your course, your expectations, and your students.
We’re launching school licenses and constantly communicating with education leaders to bring responsible, curriclum-aligned AI to Ontario schools.
Through your feedback, we’re continuing to build new teacher-first AI tools and improve existing ones for every subject and grade.
Curricumate will keep evolving—but our mission stays the same:
Support teachers. Save time. Reduce burnout. And help educators do their best work.
Thanks for being here—and for all you do as an educator.
Here’s to another year of growing, improving, and making teaching a little easier.
